As 2024 comes to an end, we look back on a year of breakthroughs, community partnerships, and dedication to advancing Alzheimer's research. Below, you'll find some key accomplishments that you can dive into.
This year, ATRI made remarkable progress in research and data accessibility:
Landmark Data Sharing Initiatives:
We released comprehensive datasets from the Anti-Amyloid Treatment in Asymptomatic Alzheimer's (A4) and LEARN studies, enabling researchers worldwide to explore new insights into Alzheimer's disease.
Participant-Centered Research:
Our commitment to inclusivity was highlighted in our post on enhancing Alzheimer's research through participant-centered approaches. This work continues to lead the way as detailed in the post about Public and Participant Involvement as the Pathway to Inclusive Dementia Research, published this year in the Alzheimer's & Dementia Journal. These efforts aim to make research more accessible and impactful.
Key Presentations and Leadership:
Our presentations and leadership at key meetings included the Alzheimer's Association International Conference, Clinical Trial Alzheimer's Disease, National Institute of Health's Alzheimer's Research Summit, and more.
Sharing knowledge is key to advancing our mission:
Webinar and Video Series:
This year, we released educational resources such as videos from Dr. Aisen and our annual World Alzheimer’s Day Webinar 2024.
We are honored to highlight the achievements of our team members:
As we close out the year, ATRI remains steadfast in its mission to rigorously test methods for early detection of and treatments for all stages of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related dementias. We thank all our participants, their families, and care partners. We celebrate all the collaborative work with sponsors, investigators, clinical sites and teams, and supporters who make this vital work possible.
