Memory Weavers: An Afternoon Where Story Meets Science in the Fight Against Dementia

On July 10, join the Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) and the Alzheimer’s Association for a unique event that blends narrative, neuroscience, and community.

Memory Weavers: Bridging Story and Science in the Fight Against Dementia marks the launch of Memory Weavers, the moving debut novel from Muffy Walker. But this event is more than a book release — it’s an afternoon of discovery, insight, and connection.

Hosted at the Jupiter Auditorium at USC ATRI in San Diego, the program will feature presentations from leading USC ATRI researchers Dr. Doris Molina-Henry and Dr. Gustavo Jimenez-Maggiora, who will share the latest developments in dementia research and therapeutics.

Muffy Walker will also take the stage to share the inspiration behind her novel and how storytelling can help shape our understanding of memory, loss, and resilience.

Date: Thursday, July 10

Time: 3:30–5:30 PM

Location: Jupiter Auditorium, 9860 Mesa Rim Rd, San Diego, CA

We invite you to be part of this special gathering — a chance to engage with the cutting edge of research, celebrate the power of story, and connect with others passionate about overcoming dementia.
