Save the date for a special Alzheimer's Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) of USC event in advance of the release of the film "The Father," and covering the related Latest Science and Path Forward. ATRI is hosting Claudia Puig for an interview with Michael Rafii, MD, PhD, associate professor of clinical neurology.

The event is Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. Visit this page for the Zoom information. 

Puig is the president of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and a longtime critic on NPR's Film Week. As a senior programmer for AFI Fest, she recently led a panel on "The Father," starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman. Puig was USA Today's film critic for 15 years, and before that she spent 11 years as a staff writer with the Los Angeles Times. On a personal note, she had an aunt and grandmother who had Alzheimer's.

Rafii, a board-certified neurologist, is director of Medical Safety at ATRI and the NIH-funded Alzheimer’s Clinical Trial Consortium (ACTC).
