The Keck School Staff Awards and Recognition Ceremony debuted on February 27, 2025, honoring the outstanding contributions of staff members at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. This inaugural event marked the beginning of what will be an annual tradition, celebrating staff excellence, service milestones, and peer-nominated award recipients.
One of the ceremony’s honorees was ATRI’s Clinical Monitoring Director, Lindsey Hergesheimer, who received the Employee Wellness & Well-being Award. Lindsey has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of support and health within her team and across the institution. Her dedication to workplace wellness has made a lasting impact, and this award serves as a testament to her efforts.
Having nominated Lindsey for this award, ATRI Clinical Monitor, Samirah Hussain, MA, noted that Lindsey’s leadership has created a workplace environment that prioritizes mental health and well-being. “Lindsey has always encouraged an open-door policy and always makes time for her team members with her busy schedule! Through her leadership, she has shown true success is not just about performance, but fostering a workplace where everyone feels supported, valued, and heard,” she said.
Reflecting on the award and ceremony, Lindsey shared her appreciation for the opportunity to connect with fellow USC colleagues and to share the moment with her father. “My dad joined me for the ceremony. He is a study participant at the USC site and was happy to have the opportunity to show me around where he conducts his study visits. It was a special day," she said.
Adding to the ceremony’s significance, Dean Carolyn C. Meltzer was in attendance, further underscoring the importance of recognizing and celebrating the exceptional work of Keck School of Medicine staff.
Congratulations to Lindsey on this well-deserved recognition, and to all the awardees and honorees who continue to make a lasting impact at ATRI, the Keck School of Medicine, and beyond.
