ATRI and USC Day of SCervice: A Partnership for Community Impact

On Saturday, March 22, 2025, Trojans worldwide will unite to make a meaningful impact in their communities for the annual USC Alumni Day of SCervice.

Giving Back to Our Local Community

The Alzheimer's Therapeutic Research Institute's commitment to Alzheimer’s research goes beyond our clinical trials and studies —it extends into the local San Diego community and beyond with events like USC Day of SCervice.

An instrumental part of ATRI’s mission of raising awareness includes the ongoing partnership with USC alumna and seven-time Emmy Award-winning journalist Angela An.  Angela's engagement has provided a significant platform to highlight the struggles and triumphs of caregivers.

In a special edition episode of the Alzheimer’s Research Podcast, Shelley Moore talks with Angela about Day of SCervice.  Angela shares how, as a USC student, she was first introduced to the world of Alzheimer's research and how the Trojan family spirit of giving back is lifelong and worldwide.

Supporting Local Partners

Local Trojans will also be volunteering with The Glenner Centers' Town Square Adult Day Center for a special screening of the documentary “Taking Care.”   The film captures the humor, honesty, and challenges of caregiving as experienced by the Rogens. As advocates for Alzheimer's awareness, Seth and Lauren Miller Rogen have used their platform to champion caregiver support and research advancements.
